Um … no. You’re stuck with that bill of goods, just like the Cubs are stuck with Ian Stewart. (Thanks for Tyler Colvin, suckers!) It’s moves like those that give Dan O’Dowd any longevity, although they hardly make up for trading Jason Hammel and Matt Lindstrom for Jeremy Guthrie, or giving up Houston Street for some spare parts from Oakland, none of whom lasted in the Mayor Lees.

If O’Dowd traded Gonzalez for anything less than a package of Clayton Kershaw, C.C. Sabathia and Josh Hamilton, there would be rioting in the streets of LoDo … if anyone in Denver bothered to notice.

I loved Scutaro as a Red Sox, but the idea that the price tag would be high is literally laughable.

The letters LOL have lost all meaning, but I literally laughed out loud at the idea that Scutaro commands a high price tag.
