The saves stats does. If you pay any proper attention to the blog, you’d realise much of the criticism here is because award voters focus too much on the useless save stat.

The super stats say the following: FIP 1.51 (2nd best in MLB), xFIP 1.63 (2nd best), fWAR 1.8 (best RP). They say that outside of Kimbrel he’s been the best reliever this season.

Good to know you will join us in our goal to get rid of obsolete stats like wins, saves and RBIs.

But you’re admitting his performance hasn’t matched his stuff. There are definitely reasonably valid excuses for that, but yeah, it’s not a magic advanced wizard stat that he’s blown leads. Which is, you know. Kind of his job to avoid doing.
