They also mentioned Brewers GM Doug Melvin and Reds GM Walt Jocketty’s close personal friendship being a barrier which I thought was a litlle far fetched, but who knows really.

I’m not off the Miller bandwagon by any means but I don’t think he’s one of those “come back and bite you” kind of guys, I still wouldn’t deal him for a rental in any situation though – especially within the division.

Matt Adams is another that’s been “in play” according to some.

Left handed hitting machine who’s more than likely blocked by Allen Craig, speculation in STL is he’s far from untouchable in the right deal, maybe better suited long run in the AL anyway.

I can’t say I wouldn’t be on board for a Miller/Adams package straight up for The King but that’s fantasy league rhetoric, never gonna happen.

Yeah…trading within the division is neve a good idea. We would probably get burned by Shelby in the next couple of years anyway. Felix would be great. It appears the Mariners are keeping him for the sole reason he is the only draw they have (with Irchiro aging).

Greinke was mentioned as being a virtual impossible target unless absolutely overwhelmed with the likes of Miller, anoher top tier prospect and a major league player.

There’s no way the Brewers will deal within the division unless an offer as the above is made and there’s no way the Cards make that deal for a rental.

King Felix on the other hand? In a minute.

Too bad the Mariners seem unwilling to discuss him.

I would hate to see him come back to bite us with the Brewers.

Too bad for McClellan/Cards although I don’t think they were counting on him too much anyway after
he was initially diagnosed before the latest setback.

Waiting for the other shoe to drop on Garcia in the next few weeks as well, most in the STL media who usually have a good idea where things like this are going seem to be feeling a full on shutdown and surgery are on the horizon.
