Wow. Have you actually looked at Ludwicks numbers as an everyday player? Average wise he’s comparable to Stubbs, although Stubbs is a much better fielder.
You guys’ problem isn’t as much Stubbs as it is where dusty bats him. The fact that you have 2 sub .250 hitters leading off your lineup is laughable IMO. Fix that and you’ll win the division if my redbirds don’t fix their bullpen issues.

Reds have a great doctor. Players come from all teams to be operated on by Kremchick or however u spell name. Votto is a tough guy and roughed it out. Players have many injuries they simply play thru. Jim Edmunds was known as a complainer way before he joined reds.
Reds have fine doctor, trainers, and therapists.

the Reds have one of the best medical staffs in the majors despite what some whiny ex cardinal who was injured when he came to the reds says. who tears their Achilles on a home run trot if they are healthy anyway? Votto played until he could not take the pain and except for last nights game you could tell there was something wrong with him in that series.now id the time we find out for sure if Dusty is great manager he and his fans think he is. they do not need another bat,they just need to use the guys they have better. there is no reason to play stubbs and his .212 average and have him at the top of the lineup. you play a outfield of Bruce.Heisey.and ludwick with stubbs as the backup guy. let Frazier play first if rolen can stay on the field. move Phillips back to leadoff where he belongs and move Bruce to cleanup since he will not have to worry about batting him and votto back to back for awhile. if it does not work then make a move at the trade deadline.

Sounds a lot like the Cards medical staff under Jockety actually. Scott Rolen was let start for way too long with a shoulder that wouldn’t let him swing effectively.

While I agree, the story being reported is that it is directly from the June 29 incident. Nobody is asking these questions. The current beat guys seem to just transcribe what the Reds want them to which is odd because you would think the Reds would save some face if this were the case.
With all the money tied into Votto and he being the best player on the team, I would think they would be more proactive with MRIs, treatment, recovery, etc.

I dunno seems more like it’d be on Votto. If he tells them it’s not as bad and he wants to play in the All-star game it is much harder for them to stop him. Plus it might not have been hurting as much then, but tweaked it a little more recently while playing.
