I’m probably reading to far into this, but interesting that Lucchino wasn’t part of that call . . . another guy with a penchant for putting his foot deeply into his mouth – although he has avoided commenting on things as obvious as Joe Paterno’s culpability.

We’re still within the 24 Hour over/under I set yesterday . . . but I guess that will come to pass.

Which leads me to wonder if Cherington did a quick statistical analysis of James Above Replacement Sabermatricians (JARS) – that is, if the Sox were to replace Bill James, what level of productivity could they expect out of a replacement level Sabermatrician?
