		<description><![CDATA[It&#039;s probably fair to say that the A&#039;s are floating the idea that they may, may, take on a shortstop/3B type as part of a trade package for McCarthy or Colon or Balfour. It&#039;s unlikely they&#039;ll take on a big salary or any long term commitments for marginal improvement. They&#039;d rather have more prospects back from their trades. But as I said earlier today, it&#039;s likely they&#039;ll wait until after this week (6 games against the Rangers and Yankees) and assess where they are before actually pulling the trigger on any deals.]]></description>
