It takes a big man to admit when he has problems; I think for now the Cards should let him do extra batting practice, and then just have him on the bench for a PH role until he can get back up to par.

Lance, I love the hell out of you and I cried with joy when your injury turned out to be less drastic than we’d all feared, but anyone watching the Cardinals has known all week that you weren’t ready to go just yet.

In my perfect world, Berkman would have taken a rehab assignment, Beltran would have stayed out of the home-run derby, and Matt Holliday wouldn’t have swung at that awful, awful pitch that struck him out in the ninth today. Rough week to be a Redbird fan.
