For your sake he better have had wrist problems his entire MLB career cause this guy has proven a few things at the MLB level. 1. he can barely hit his weight (NOT) 2. Very limited power 3. he LOVES to strikeout a LOT. Yea that should help the jays out of last place!! LOL

The point is two months is hardly enough time to make those kinds of judgments, especially with hitters who have torn up the minors the way Belt and Snider have. Did the Jays have playoff aspirations Snider would have crushed by being allowed to just stay with the team ’09-’11? Beating up on PCL pitching in Las Vegas really does nothing for his development.

They’ve given him a couple of extended looks. The reasons two months is the longest stretch of time he’s started in the bigs is because he’s been terrible during those stretches.

You know, for all the (justified) crushing Bochy and Sabean get for not giving Belt any extended run, have the Jays ever really given Snider a full shot at establishing himself? I don’t remember if there were injuries involved in the previous three years, but it looks like two months is the longest stretch of time he’s consistently appeared in games with the Jays.

Snider had wrist problems in Vegas this year and spent time on the DL. He is healthy and is hitting well.

Kid's got thump in that bat but he has poor plate D. Every once in a while he shows that he can lay off bad pitches and wait out the pitcher, then he sends one into the 2nd deck. If learns to keep both hands on the bat, wait for his pitch and short-hack it into the seats, he'll be a force. Good luck Travis Snider. The Beaver Men need you to be That Guy. That Guy Who Turned Things Around. Likely? Yeah, not so much. Possible? Sure hope so.

I would like to think there was an easier way to get Snider on the big league roster than shuffling around 10 pieces of crap, but then again I’m not a MLB GM.
