They might get lucky and bail out a bad trade. Leibrandt for Tufts was a junk swap that worked for the Royals after a poor deal. :<)

Well, if the count goes 3-0 when Sanchez is pitching, which it often does, he’ll be forced to throw a strike. Belt-high and right down the middle. It won’t end well.

Why do people think Sanchez is going to give up long balls at Coors? You have to usually be able to throw (that’s what Sanchez does, throws, not pitches) the ball somewhere near the plate for it to go out.

Not only are they trading junk. They both also made hugely regrettable deals last offseason with the involved players.

Melky went to SF and remembered how to hit and Jason Hammel discovered that lifes not so bad outside Coors Field.

Just another layer of detail that interests me for whatever reason.

They should have made this a 3-team deal involving Nick Blackburn.

I think the phone call between Dayton Moore and Dan O’Dowd where this trade was consumated needs to fall under the Freedom of Information Act.
