His only HR in the postseason last year put them back on top in the infamous Game 6, after they blew it in the 9th… should have been the game (and Series) winner, and would have been a great story if they could have pulled it off.

I think the problem is that Texas is counting on him too much. When the team is struggling, I think everyone looks at Hamilton to save the day, including Hamilton. Texas has been expected to be a favorite, if not the favorite, to win the AL this year, but with Hamilton (and several others, to be fair) playing this way, that road is going to be much tougher.

Hamilton should bounce back, unless he’s experiencing some problems we don’t know about. Texas is really counting on him to help break their World Title drought. In the last two Fall Classics, Hamilton only has 9 hits in 49 at bats, not good enough.

You’re right of course, but the point is that the media just LOVE to prognosticate after as little as the first 3 weeks of a season. It’s totally absurd, yet they do it every year.

Yeah Orel pointed this out last night during the broadcast and right after he did Hamilton chased three curveballs that trailed out of the zone. I almost felt embarrassed for him.
