That’s obviously a gyro-ball. I find your lack of faith disturbing Mr. Calcaterra.

Just because this guy has a much better Vadar costume than you do doesn’t mean you have to bash his control.

By looking at that picture, he was either throwing a screwball (look at that pronation), or he didn’t even “throw” it- he merely tossed the ball up, then Force-pushed it to home plate. Probably a sure-fire way to throw knucklers, using the Force.

Indeed. This is why Dickey is killing it this year…he embraced the Force. Light or dark side? Remains to be seen…

In all fairness, how hard is it to throw a baseball while wearing shoulder/upper torso armor and gloves? And I can’t imagine it’s easy to see out of that mask…

I was going to say the same thing. Apparently Anakin is shrinking in his old age.

Sure, the pitch was a foot off the plate, but the ump called it a strike anyhow. The Jedi mind trick is a pitcher’s best friend.

What makes you think he even threw the pitch in the first place? Darth Vader should have just been able to float the ball through the air using the Force, a la grabbing Han Solo’s pistol away in Empire.
