As a tiger fan I am beyond pissed. You bring back infante and a average nl pitcher who’s only going to regress in the al… For our best pitching prospect? For fuck sakes I’d rather see you move porcello or not do anything. Or if u do trade a top prospect make a run for greinke or hamels ?! Thank god castalennos wasn’t traded I would have gone ape shit

I am old enough to remember the smoltz trade, and I hated it. I dont understand this trade. Not that I don’t like Infante, but I dont think he’s a big part of the trade. What does Infante bring that you couldnt have gotten with Willie Bloomquist? Bloomquist could have been had for a lot less. So, basically it’s Turner and prospects for a rental that you HOPE can stay healthy.

For all they gave up, I’m not impressed.

In April & May he was. Since then he has pretty much been as bad as the parts of their rotation not named Verlander.

Even during his “good stretch” his ERA was just south of 5.00 vs +.500 teams and under 3.00 vs the bottom feeders.

His 13 ER in 14 IP in Interleague play (career ERA vs AL of 5.02) isn’t exactly impressive either.

I was just reading on the Internet that the Red Sox were interested in Sanchez. Guess that the Internet report was premature.

I believe that last year there were question’s about Turner’s upside potential. It looks as if Detroit also has doubts about him.

Let me get this straight. The Fish brought in talent this past off-season to contend, and put butts in moire seats at the new Miami-Dade County Baseball Palace of Garishness. That commitment lasted fewer than 100 games? Can’t wait for Gator’s lengthy and entertaining explanation of this development. Especially since it didn’t involve dumping Chris Coghlan or John Buck.

I’m glad that Anibal was traded, as the Nats had trouble beating him.
