Good point Hush. A little trivia. Adam Dunn hit the farthest ball ever hit anywhere in the world.
He was at Victory field in Indianapolis playing in the Triple A homerun derby.
The dude hit one out of the park and on the adjacent street (West Street).
A guy in a car with N. Carolina plates was driving down the street…stopped his car…picked up the ball and drove off.
I guarantee you noone has every hit a ball from Indianapolis all the way to N. Carolina.

If you’re OH SO disgusted with the “lowbrow” nature of this blog, and then what the hell are you still doing here reading the stories?

The key feature of HBT is “irreverence”…we all love baseball here, but we don’t it, or anything else really, too seriously.

There’s a great little community of regulars here who are whip-smart and are capable of making me spit coffee all over my monitor with a single well-delivered one-liner.

There are plenty of other baseball sites out there that offer the kind of rigid, staid commentary which you clearly prefer, but spare us your arrogant, high and mighty criticisms.
