Rough news for the Mets, who could really use him back. Frank Frank may have seemed pretty mediocre (posting an ERA around 5) but he was more reliable than just about anyone else in the bullpen, if you put any stock in Shutdowns and Meltdowns:

Frank Frank: 12 Shutdowns, 5 Meltdowns
Byrdak: 13 Shutdowns, 7 Meltdowns
Parnell: 12 Shutdowns, 9 Meltdowns

And then it starts getting really ugly:

Rauch: 8 SD, 10 MD
Ram Ram: 4 SD, 5 MD
Batista: 2 SD, 4 MD
Acosta: 2 SD, 6 MD (And he's back!)
Hefner: 0 SD, 3 MD

Combined, the Mets bullpen has 55 Meltdowns (only the Rockies and Brewers have more) and 55 Shutdowns (only the Angels and Cubs have fewer). That is to say, if you turn the ball over to the bullpen, they're getting the job done 50% of the time. That's....not good.
