I hate that writers and reporters keep not specifying that he it a fan, as in a mechanical device which rotates in order to produce a cooling effect, and not a freaking person. Perpetrators should be lashed, which includes pretty much article I’ve read on the subject.

Alright…I have been out of the loop (on Vacation) and only catches snippets here and their on the MLB Channel. I realize Hanley has an infection (which according to Craig is a direct result of forgetting to take his medicine). That was news to me. Also (and of bigger concern)…he apparently punched a fan.
WTF??? When did this happen? What transpired? Please update me on the whole fan punching thing.

My take is that a team’s veteran stars set the tone for the whole clubhouse, and Ramirez and Reyes are playing like a couple of guys who’ve gotten paid and are now just phoning it in. By contrast, Ryan Zimmerman and Jayson Werth have had their struggles at times, but you could never accuse them of dogging it.

Gator, seriously, what happened to the Marlins? They had that hot May. They played that excellent, very focused "small ball" game against us after Bryce showed up Reyes and Hanley, Buehrle pitches well... Anibal Sanchez had our number. The skill was there. Seems like they were capable of having a good season. Is this on Ozzie for not keeping a good clubhouse? Is this on MLB for the TV cameras? I understand in the end it's on the players, but how did such high hopes and good talent get into such disarray so fast?

There are any number of teams where the Hanster would fit if he gets his head together. The problem is, he’s been a dog afield for most of the last two and a half seasons. It’s hard to imagine anyone taking a risk on his entire contract or, at the very least, taking his entire contract and then sending back anyone of superior value in trade. If the Feesh want to score big with a trade for him, they’re going to have to eat a lot of his salary. Trading Mr. Puss Knuckle at this point, though, wouldalso be addition by subtraction just in terms of refreshing the team’s collective attitude.

Yes, Marlins. Trade Ramirez now. His value has never been higher! As much as I wouldn’t want Ramirez in Angels red, the best the Marlins could hope for is some sort of Wells-Ramirez trade.

Or Ervin Santana.

Would not be surprised to see Detroit go back to the same well. They need a upgrade there and would have the double play combo back with Infante. They were very good in the field together. Too bad Victor Martiniz can’t catch everyday anymore. But he can still play first and is a huge upgrade over Gabby and LOMO. Sounds like the money would match up too.

I see the Braves as a great fit. Simmons is not quite ready for the Bigs. Chipper is going and Prado can play anywhere. It is just a matter of what the want in return and if the would deal with the Braves.

Any team that trades for Ramirez will be hoping for the old “change of scenery” effect, but that’s a heck of an expensive gamble to take.
