I hear you Blues. Not sure I like the 6 man rotation idea (but understand where you are coming from with it). If…and it’s a big if…Jaime comes back sharp maybe you put Kelly in a middle relief role. Time will tell. But I am not too optimistic about getting anything from Jaime the rest of the year.

Yeah that is good to hear but to be honest i don’t know if i want him to replace any of our pitchers.
We have 2 rookies who are doing exceptionally well above what we expected, especially Kelly. Couldn’t ask for more from either of them. Maybe go with a 6 man rotation to give Jaime some extra rest in between starts.

Interesting fodder on this from talkers today in STL, none seem to be too encouraged by the above news or the prospects of Garcia’ s effectveness if/when he does return.

Bright siding it, Cards starters have been lights out sans Garcia, any positive contribution from him moving forward would be icing at this point.
