		<description><![CDATA[Exactly in what universe would Wells have become an option for the Cubs going forward? Injury or no injury, he had a ton of chances to show some consistency, but failed. The Cubs released him because they were tired of waiting for him, not because there wasnt room. I couldnt imagine any scenario where they would have resigned him. When or if they do trade Dempster and/or Garza and Maholm they would be expecting pitching prospects and Im guessing at least one guy they could plug into the rotation right away. They have clearly moved on from Wells.]]></description>
