Eh, if someone were to make an original, funny joke at the Yankees expense, I’d laugh. It just so happens that this was neither of those things. Actually, he doesn’t even look overweight anymore, unless there’s something funky going on with camera angles in that picture.

Yankees really need Joba to come in as the 7th inning lockdown guy. By all reports I’ve seen on the YES channel, Joba is in great shape and has slimmed down considerably.

As much as hes been a side show in his time in the BX- i must say i’m impressed. Guy talked the talk and backed it up. Throwin 100mph after his elbow and his ankle troubles.

Church the 30 day clock started with Joba’s first rehab assignment which I believe was July 10th so the Yankees have 30 days from that date to call him back up.

uyf1950…how’s everything with you? I agree, Qualls is history as soon as Joba”s ready. They took a flier on Qualls, but even though he has a good fastball he seems to fool no one, but at least he filled up some innings while he was there.
