Um…he’s not much of a writer. If “The Avenger of Blood” is any indication, he probably shouldn’t count on supporting himself as a wordsmith. Then again, I admire him for the effort, and people buy Dan Brown’s crap and “50 Shades of Grey,” so what do I know.

Really? That’s the problem? If someone is going to hire Batista to play ball at age 41, how is it a problem that he continues to play, instead of having the necessary education for a second vocation? BTW, Batista does have a second vocation; he’s a writer.

I saw him pitch last Saturday vs. the Dodgers and he was TERRIBLE. He threw about 11 straight balls before hitting the strike zone during the second inning after barely escaping the first inning. Outside of Jason Bay, I’ve never heard that many boos recently. It’s time for Miguel to hang it up. That’s the problem with these guys, they don’t have the necessary education when it’s time to go to a second vocation.
