As a Braves fan, I’m also very happy that someone sabotaged that trade. We don’t want him. We want Greinke, not Dempster. We were settling on Dempster, but now that Greinke’s on the blocks, Dempster can hit the bricks. As a matter of fact, we would LOVE for him to go to the Dodgers because the Braves hit very well against Dempster.

As a Dempster fan I agree with you. Who would want to see Ryan stuck in Atlanta for the rest of the year. Fans would rather hold on to a maybe than make the playoffs. Don’t be mad he would rather be a Dodger than a Brave. Dodgers are going all in.

the braves and their sieve-like front office f’d it up by not being able to keep their mouths shut until after the games were played. leaking the news onto their own site before it was even brought to dempster for approval certainly didn’t help. the cubs front office was going to tell him after they finished their game, but…
He’s such a great clubhouse guy and pitcher that he deserves to go out on his own terms.

As a Braves fan, I’m really glad they didn’t get him. I thought that was a terrible trade … Dempster is so meh and one good year doesn’t change that.
