Not sure what’s worse about Nation’s Capital baseball: The fact this team was stripped away from Canada, or the belief of Nationals fans that they are the bestest, greatest, baseballsiest of them all.

And, no, I’m really not jealous. I do miss playing against Montreal, however.

The Nats drafted Tyler Moore THREE times before he finally signed in the 16th round of the 2008 draft. Corey Brown was obtained in a trade. Steve Lombardozzi was drafted in the 19th round of the 2008 draft.

How deep in talent are the Nats all of the sudden? Harper can’t go and the rookie who replaces him in CF hits his first MLB home run (after hitting 21 dingers at AAA). An incredible seven Nats, including five position player rookies, have hit their first MLB home runs this season. This team’s depth of young talent is their often overlooked secret weapon.
