Bill O’Reilly and Donald Trump do the wave

Jul 31, 2012, 1:32 PM EDT

It was at last night’s Orioles-Yankees game, and it’s pretty much exactly how it sounds. Except that O’Reilly’s disdain for the wave is palpable and delicious. He doesn’t stand, he merely points a finger up. It may be the only thing he and I agree on.

Oh, you wrote “wave”! When I first saw the headline, I thought that you wrote “weave” and were commenting on hairpieces..

I think Donald prefers to call it a comb over…

What family of rodentia does the “comb-over” fall into?

  3. alexo0 - Jul 31, 2012 at 1:43 PM

    I love Papa Bear.

    Good timing Trump.

Ex Yankee and current occasional YES broadcaster Paul Oneill said during last nights broadcast that he always has a good time when playing golf with Donald. I was surprised to hear he thought he was one of the most fun guys to golf with.

On the other hand, I’ve met Donald a few times and he was a jerk. Without being too specific, I was being honored some 15 years ago for some real estate accomplishments in NYC where I live. I went over to Trump and exchanged pleasantries. He refused to shake my hand. This is when he was going through his proclaimed germ prevention period. It was all bullshit and pretty insulting to watch him shake hands the rest of the night with people he knew well mixed in with those he refused.

Sometimes you can be distinguished by the quality of your enemies. Being disliked by the Donald makes you OK in my estimation.

Did anybody return the favor with the one-fingered wave?

    • hojo20 - Jul 31, 2012 at 1:53 PM

      Mr. Maddow

      • Utley's Hair - Jul 31, 2012 at 2:36 PM

More likely to be Olbermann. Maddow’s a Sahx fan, and besides, she’d probably start hounding them for interviews.

Doing the wave at Yankee Stadium (or any ballpark worthy of respect) is a sacrilege.

  7. qcubed3 - Jul 31, 2012 at 1:55 PM

I’m just amazed that the proximity of those two didn’t result in d-bag singularity…

  8. stackers1 - Jul 31, 2012 at 1:59 PM

One’s a bigger douche than the other. Pick either one.

  9. papalurchdxb - Jul 31, 2012 at 2:06 PM

So, 3:2 game in the 7th and a ‘wave’ is the most entertainment on show for the fans – was the game THAT bad?

Someone identify the cretin that started the thing, you have my permission to chop his arms off.

Man these guys get a lot of attention.

    • Utley's Hair - Jul 31, 2012 at 2:18 PM

      Attention whores generally do.

  11. hittfamily - Jul 31, 2012 at 2:18 PM

I question the authenticity of that wave, Sheriff Joe, look into it.

  12. WhenMattStairsIsKing - Jul 31, 2012 at 2:23 PM

I love the guy taking a picture of Trump.

    • Utley's Hair - Jul 31, 2012 at 2:27 PM

      Maybe it’s video.

      “LOOK!!!! It moved right there!!!!!”

  13. oscojoe - Jul 31, 2012 at 2:54 PM

The only thing you and O’Reilly Agree on?, No surprise their considering you work for NBC!!!

    • Utley's Hair - Jul 31, 2012 at 3:03 PM

      Or maybe it’s because he isn’t a non-thinking lemming?

  14. yahmule - Jul 31, 2012 at 3:36 PM

Insufferable Prick Night reamins one of the least anticipated promotions on the schedule.

I’m curious if the two teenage girls next to O’Reilly were auditioning to be Gretchen Carlson’s replacement, since she’s hit her maximum FNC age….
