Seems like the M’s got a lot less for League, who has actually been excellent during most of the three years with the Mariners, than they did in getting Thames for Delabar in the trade with the Jays. Do GM’s really value low level prospects above low level major league outfielders?

I remember when League first came up with the Jays. What an arm! For some reason, he never realized his potential and was traded for another pitcher (Brandon Morrow) who had not realized his potential. Morrow finally did realize his potential in Toronto, but League seemed to regress after some initial success as a closer.

The Dodgers got the short end of this deal. League has lost his confidence this year; he never appeared to know what was coming next with each pitch. Most of us Ms fans have been calling for his trade since at least May.
