While I have never been a Yankee fan, I will always remember that the Yankees sent Hank Borowy to the Cubs in July of 1945 and he was 9-3 to lead them to their last pennant. And, I don’t think they got much in return.

I’m guessing the Cubs finally realized the Dodgers weren’t stupid enough to give a top prospect for a 35 year old middle of the rotation pitcher who had a hot month.

As a Cub fan, this feels very bittersweet. Jed did well, but Ryan will be sorely missed. Hope he gets a ring this year.

Alberta has the best Canadian Bacon. Texas though, has some fine Canadian Pitching now…unless this is another “done deal” like the last one. I’m waiting till I see him on the mound in a game after the Ump yells “play ball” to close the books on this one.

Dempster was great for the Cubs. Now, this Cub fan is excited he helped us as he changes teams. If that 3rd baseman is a win, the Cubs will benefit muchly.

Christian Villanueva is a Very nice prospect, much better than the names I’ve heard the Dodgers offering. And Hendricks is a control freak that my have a limited ceiling but a solid kid as well. Cubs fans should be very happy.
