LA goes down with class too. You have got to love the reliever coming in and hitting Goldschmidt with his first pitch after Goldy is perfect on the night and then they try to hit J-Up twice. Classy move from a classy club.

Fife has never really been decent in the minors, and had to be pulled today after getting into trouble in both the 4th and 5th innings today. He’s not going to change much pitching during a pennant race in the majors.

Everyone is saying that because its the fashionable thing to say about them since they missed out on Dempster. I’d be surprised if they don’t find another starter before rosters expand in September. Also, it looks like Fife is the real deal so far. Sure, Capuano will probably tire and Harang will regress, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the SPs were able to hold it together. I’m much more concerned about their ability to score any runs. They have a few players who can produce, but they can’t seem to produce at the same time.

Regardless if the dodger bats come alive with the new blood, they don’t have the starting pitchers to make a decent run.
