Gotta give Bonifacio credit for sliding to make a play in the 9th when the Marlins were pretty clearly headed for the win. But it was unnecessary and I’m sure he’d make a different choice if he could do it again. Considering how bad the Miami lineup is top to bottom, this gives Marlins fans a good reason to stop watching and just wait for next year. Even Stanton’s impending return promises only to yield a bunch of solo HRs. Last night’s lineup featured Austin Kearns and Greg Dobbs (who knew he owned a glove?), which was like watching a game from bizarro world. If not for Josh Johnson having his best stuff, the game would have been unwatchable.
