Regardless of whether that’s true (it’s not), I can’t find any box score that says Baxter was hit by a pitch last night. All legitimate 4-ball walks.

I got four walks in a junior college game and promptly hit on first pitch of fifth at bat. I talked to the scorer after the game and found out something new for me. Even though i got on base every time, did not get on by error and did not make an out at the plate, i was still listed as 0-1. I assume pro scoring is the same. So should be scored as 0-1 and baxter has 5 walks but i could be wrong.

It’s almost as if they walked him to get to Andres Torres who was 0-4 with 11 men left on base for the night.
