Those capsule surgeries are tricky. You can either never recover fully & have your career ruined like Chien Ming Wang, or you could come back & be productive like Johan Santana. Regardless of how he recovers, he’s definitely going to lose 4-6 MPH off his fastball, which wasn’t very fast to begin with.
