@mariners – oh please….the OP in this string accused Phillies fans of not having “Natitude” based on the fact that a mere 41,665 showed up. You know how many times the Nats have had 41,665 this year? Twice – and both of those times were against the Orioles, whose fans surely helped increase the numbers.

Phillies fans show up in greater numbers for their losing team then Nats fans do for the first contending DC team since 1945. Think about that for a second – the Phillies are out of it, and yet they still outdraw DC, whose fans haven’t seen a winner unless they are over 80. If that is “Natitude”, they better figure out a Plan B

My guess is that they went to total ticket sales instead of people through the gates due to games being rescheduled due to rain outs, bad weather, and other factors that keep people from showing up

Same thing in the NFL. Oh, The local TV station and advertisers bought the remaining seats so the game would remain on TV in the local market? OK. If you want to call that a sell out. fine.

While we’re on this subject. I don’t like MLB’s blackout rules, but I at least understand them from a business point of view.

The NFL Blackout Rule makes no sense to me. A team is terrible, so we’re going to take it off TV and let fans find something else to do on Sunday afternoon?

Your grasp of the facts is very limited. There are only 6 teams with a higher road attendance average than the Braves this year. There are only 2 teams with lower road attendance averages than the Royals this year. Check your facts before someone checks them for you.

How do you figure that the Phils’ streak was longer than the Boston streak? You can’t really say that the ticket broker era is responsible for Boston’s streak but had nothing to do with Philly’s.

This streak was longer than the Red Sox “streak”.

I mean, any streak in the Stub Hub/Ace Ticket era is going to be nonsense anyway. Sure, there are tickets that the team doesn’t hold because they were sold and I guess that’s a sell out, but it’s hard for me to really honor that when so many empty seats are being seen on TV.

Sellout streaks are LAME.
