You turned this into a deal. It’s not a deal. And Orange County is not LA Metropolitan area. It is, like the other 4 Counties you listed, part of the LA Media Market. Is Syracuse, NY part of the Buffalo Metropolitan Area? Christ, no. It is part of the Buffalo, NY and NY, NY media market. Arte is a marketing genius, he knows what he is doing, and I have no qualms with the “LA” Angels – its a business, as they say.

Glad you know where Anaheim is, kudos. But any well-educated denizen knows that the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area encompasses a five county area – Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura Counties. You live in the LA Met area, sorry to break it to you. I have been an Angel fan since 1977 and live 24 miles east of the Big A in Riverside County. Are the majority of the radio and television outlets that you receive from 15 miles SW of Anaheim or from Los Angeles? I cannot believe the small-mindedness of some supposed Angel fans. If you do not want to live in the LA Metropolitan area than I suggest you move to one of the counties that I have not listed. San Diego is always a nice place to stop for gas before going into Baja California. We Angel fans have lots to be thankful for via Moreno’s belief, hell, embrace of the FACT that we are in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area and has not operated using the small market philosophy that Disney and Ms. Autry used. GO LA ANGELS!!!!

I know where Anaheim is. I’m from a town 15 mi SW of Anaheim. It is definitely not the LA Metropolitan area. Hell, Long Beach isn’t the LA Metropolitan Area.

If you want to consider it the LA Media Market, I’m not going to argue with you – Arte sure as hell believes it to be in the LA Media Market.
