But there hasn’t been. Since April 7 (LaHair’s first game) the Cubs have played in 106 games. LaHair has played in 93 of them.

This is a guy who simply played himself out of a job. he had a very good 2 months. But he’s got holes all over his swing and chases too many bad pitches.

The reason he never got extended chances in the past was because he was always thought to be about this good.

LaHair was never going to be the next Ernie Banks, but the catering of his stats seemed to line up pretty well with when he started getting yanked in and out of the lineup irregularly.
