The Nats began the Wang experiment back in 2010 when they signed him while he was rehabbing. They were so pitching depleted at the time that it made sense to see if they could nurse him back to health. Yet as it turned out, even if he had been relatively effective this year, they didn’t really need him. John Lannan is a better pitcher than even a healthy Wang at this point, and he has spent most of the year at AAA.

As a Yankee fan I clearly remember that day in Houston. And fantasy players everywhere calling for the NL to adopt the DH.

This guy’s career tanked while rounding third. It always blown my mind that pitchers are some unathletic dredges just bc they throw a baseball.
