Jeff Francoeur just wants a little of what you’re having

Aug 8, 2012, 12:31 PM EDT

Jeff Francoeur is the most inconsistent player in the game. He’ll give $100 to bleacher dudes for them to buy pizza, but then he’ll steal your popcorn.

I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for Frenchy. Not much of a hitter, but an undeniably cool guy.

Dude is the Bill Murray of MLB. :)

      Except this isn’t a Wendy’s and there’s witnesses.

Hopefully, at least for that fan, he doesn’t give his hands the Moises Alou treatment before games.

It’s no secret how hungry these guys are after work. Between warmups, batting practice, the game, showers, and interviews, they go 7-8 hours without eating. This would be normal if they were sleeping, not exercising, during this time.

There is plenty to eat in an MLB clubhouse before BP, in the intervening time between BP and first pitch, etc. Cold cuts, fruit, you name it, not to mention a team chef that takes orders for postgame meals… clubbies/batboys even leave the stadium at a players request to bring back “outside” food.

These guys aren’t going hungry in there – they are taken care of very, very well.

        Don’t forget the sunflower seeds.

It’s F-R-A-N-C-O-E-U-R. I see it spelled incorrectly more often than I see it spelled correctly.

Wil Myers just wants a little of what Jeff Francoeur’s having

    • mattyflex - Aug 8, 2012 at 1:03 PM

      this one right here.

He’s a good guy and a great defensive player, but I agree they need to call Myers up.

He was a fan favorite when he was with the Rangers. Good dude.

Remember when Don Mattingly did this, and everybody thought it was so awesome?
