There has to be more to this story. Neither Napoli nor Soto have the defensive and pitcher-management skills of Torrealba. His offense was just not that poor. I think it may have been the fear of losing both Torrealba and Napoli to free-agency, with no catching prospect near ready.

That is a pity, Yorvit may not have had the best offensive numbers but his personality around the clubhouse more than made up for that I think. He was always smiling and happy whenever I saw him in the dugout as opposed to Soto who seems a bit too serious all the time.

I would love to replace Whiteside with Yorvit, start Sanchez behind the dish, and move Posey to first. Sorry Belt, you would be riding the pine.

Sanchez and Posey need to be in the lineup somehow.

Is it just me, or has anoyone else noticed since Torrealba stopped catching Yu Darvish, Darvish’s numbers have exploded? Just wondering…
