My concern here is whether the umpires are enforcing the 12 second rule between pitches, and if they supposedly are was Eckstrom warned? It seems very passive-aggressive to *snail mail* a letter to a pitcher long after he completed his game that features his warnings or penalties.

Please note . . . these are warm-up pitches that are being referred to in this letter. (which makes it all the more hilarious that Ekstrom is being scolded for delaying each game by just a hair under a minute). The perceived problem with Beckett is the amount of time he takes between game pitches. I don't think Beckett has ever gotten a letter. Or if he has, he's just been paying his fines quietly.
