(I was thinking the same thing as you though. Also look at the crowd’s reaction behind home plate, they all almost look straight up thinking it was a really high pop fly).

Very true, but everybody knows to look at the outfielder in that spot. Then centerfielder stopped about 100 feet from the wall and looked up.

That could be because it was hit to center field, and on tv the trajectory makes it look almost like a popup.

1) He was criminally underappreciated in Cincinnati, but was one of my favorite players.

2) If you thought his defense at first was bad, you weren’t paying attention to him when his nickname in the outfield was “Magellan”.

AD was one of the few reasons to watch the Nats back in 2009-2010. I was at Nats Park when his had his only 3 HR game for them (and just missed a 4th dinger with a double off the top of the wall). Strasburg’s MLB debut was probably the only game I’ve attended in person that was more fun.

That said, he is much better off in the AL where he can DH as his defense even at 1B was atrocious.

When I saw it was a White Sox clip, I instantly muted the sound on my computer so I wouldn’t have to listen to The Hawk.
