Legend has it that saltpeter will curb an overactive libido. No idea if this is true or not, but it probably can’t hurt to try and calm our friend Bravo down a tad before something terrible happens to the man and his bits fall clean off.

The guy is having a rough luck year he has had a quality start I think every time he has been handed the ball. Maybe he will find some luck gong into the playoffs.

Speaking of beaver pens, a young “lady” I know just told me of her recent night out with the girls at a bar in Montreal that featured male table dancers. She said that the place was packed full of women. El Bravo would probably have been affected by the number of excited “ladies” and beavers.

Villanueva was better than Peavy last night. Peavy was lucky not to get the loss and Villanueva was unlucky not to get the win.

Now that Peavy has shown that he is healthy and can still pitch, I expect that Kenny Williams will try to trade him in the off season.

He was real good against the Beav last night, true. BUT Carlos Villaneuva and the Beaver Pen was better. That’s why he lost, see. Had nothing to do with luck and more to do with some Maddux-like pitching from Car-Ville and with Steve Delabar’s wipe-out splitter (looked like a slider to me, but the Announcing Dream Team of Martinez/Asby claimed splitter: even if that ball was breaking into the leftys and away from the righties, who am I to gainsay such baseball chops? ). Gettin’ to like this guy, Delabar. Of course he’s more machine now than man. Can throw a mean splitter (slider) though.
