Josh Hamilton is what is wrong with the Rangers as well as the fact that CJ Wilson no longer performs his magic in Arlington. Ryan Dumpster and Roy Oswalt? Come on Man! But they are still in 1st place and this is still August.

How the Rangers remain in 1st place is beyond me. It’s been nothing but a nightmare this season, but hey, they are in first place. (For now).

alright look i appreciate the enthusiasm but lets take a step back and go for at least a LITTLE bit of realism here. Pettitte, while still an above-average to very good pitcher and a great veteran presence in the clubhouse is not one of the “best players in all of baseball”. Also, A-Rod is having a terrible year by A-Rod standards, and while that’s still a pretty good year, it is again not quite one of the “best players in all of baseball”. This is coming from a Yanks fan, and I’m not downplaying that these injuries haven’t hurt the Yankees, but seriously. Just a little bit of balanced analysis here goes a long way.

What’s with the Rangers? Why aren’t they playing better? I’m puzzled by their less than stellar play this year. This team should be dominating the league, and they’re not doing it. If they keep mailing in games they may find themselves less than optimally poised to make a run in October. Hideki Kuroda. Please.

Kuroda carried a no hitter into the 7th inning before the heavy hitting Rangers managed to scrape up an infield single. Kuroda settled down to stifle the Rangers by allowing only one more hit on his way to a complete game, shutout victory. Nick Swisher homered again, knocking in his 7th run in the first 2 games of the series. Tex went back to back with swisher, each turning around 98 and 99 mph Ogando fastballs. Yanks seem to be finding themselves, despite currently having 4 of the best players in all of baseball, on the DL. (Arod, Mo, Pettitte and CC)
