Dustin that’s not how we do things around here Pedroia. Runt, short man’s complex. Running to the boss behind his managers back to whine and complain and attempt to get him fired. Quit on Francona last year too. Boston letting the players dictate to the management & owners how they should play. Every one of them a Dwight Howard. Right down to denying they complained to get the coach fired. Next they are all going to demand trades.

And the “paranoia and discontent” in Boston ownership is a cycle–it happens eventually regardless of ownership, with players being run out of town (Carlton Fisk, for one). It all starts at the top. Just look at the garbage Lucchino has said and that utter joke of a letter to season ticket holders.

I think Pedroia surely lied about this. But it totally wouldn’t be the first time an athlete lied to the media. Tom Brady or Bill Belichick, anyone? That said, Pedroia might really not want Bobby fired, and instead wants Lucchino fired…but obviously he’s not going to say that.

It seems that smallish infielders who play with a “max effort ” style tend to have short careers. Perhaps Mr. Pedrioa should pay attention to playing baseball.

Did any of us expect Pedroia to actually admit it? They supposedly had a closed door meeting and wanted Bobby V fired and of course Pedroia isn’t going to admit it to the media. It’s something that should have stayed behind closed doors. Denying it is all they can do to keep the “ishstorm” (as a previsous commentor called it) from happening so they can go back to playing baseball.

This is gonna eventually lead to Pedroia s departure. This has been a disaster from the beginning. The ownership is to blame they formed this culture of paranoia and discontent. You can’t hire a manager and not be all in with his philosophy you can’t fire someone and then try to destroy his reputation. If I was a sox player I wouldn’t trust anyone

So glad the chowder heads have Bobby V, he tried to take a shortcut to a WS by taking the Sox job. You look at a guy like Buck and he has taken an anwful franchise for just about all of the past 20 years into a team that now looks attractive to free agents because they are built to win with his old school style of baseball philosophy.

Yep. I have been riding the “Pedroia is the only likeable dude in the Boston clubhouse” train for the better part of the last 11 months, but this is just pathetic and makes it official: there are absolutely NO likeable people down there.

Maybe Cody Ross based on what he said a couple weeks ago regarding how the team looks with the eye test as opposed to the “on paper” test.

So I’ll take Cody Ross I guess, but he’s just a season rental. He won’t be back.

The Red Sox are cry baby pussies and need to get some balls, play hard, and not give a shit about who manages. Deal bastards.

Pedroia just lied to our faces. He most certainly attempted to get Valentine fired. And they went about it like young high school girls still uncertain how to apply their tampons. His public denials are worth as much as his leadership skills. (if you’d like to see his results, look to las September or all of 2012)
