Matt Kemp gets ejected, bumps an ump

Matt Kemp may soon get a couple of involuntary days off and may find his wallet lighter.  Because in today’s Dodgers-Pirates game he (a) started arguing balls and strikes with the ump; (b) was ejected; and (c) apparently bumped the ump a bit during the confrontation.

Don Mattingly came out of the dugout when the Kemp-ump confrontation got going and Mattingly got himself ejected too.  I haven’t seen the video yet, but we’ll put it up once it’s available.

Best part: as Kemp was leaving the field, he was apparently dropping F-Bombs (thanks Gary Carter). At least based on this pic of a father covering his kid’s ears.

    Maybe he’s just a close-talker.

Anyone else think Kemp is behaving a little erratic and agro lately? Test him! Alright, wishful thinking but the Dodgers need to help the Giants out a little here…

The ump was a chump (as usual) for throwing Kemp out when he was SITTING IN THE DUGOUT.

He was calling terrible strikes all day. Somebody needs to keep these terrible umps in check.

Craig, you are better than that! Title says he bumps an ump, then in your article you say apparently bumps an ump, and if you watch it, he turned around to go in a different direction and accidentally ran into a different ump that was behind him? Not a bump!

7 game suspension then a roid test!

Matt Kemp got thrown out of the game for yellin “Let’s go, Dre”. He was cheering on Andre Ethier at the time. Since when do umps throw players out for cheering on their team mates.

Yes, the ump’s behavior was quite erratic, test him.
