Assume you mean me — i think i spelled most of the words correctly. however when i go fast i sometimes flip vowels and words. In addition i have a hard time spelling won. I always want to type “own.” It took me a couple of tries to type won correctly. I assume because i focused on it so long i reversed the order. Not sure if i misspelled anything else, but thanks for pointing that out, it made my day!

Lou Gherig one won triple crown. he played first base. Ripken played a far tougher position against far tougher competition.

To belittle one player against the other is absurd. Cal is one of the best players to play the game. So is Gherig. Aside from the streak, one has little to do with the other…

is the truck overrated because it showed up for work every day no matter how it was actually performing too? or did it (unlike Cal) actually perform at a triple-crown level like Lou Gehrig during his streak?

but it’s a great cause and that’s one thing Cal is great at – helping the community and being one of the best ambassadors of the game

Best part about this story – it demonstrates how much times have changed. Cal drove true American iron, even during the heyday. If this were one of these idiots from today, they’d be auctioning off some German status wagen, probably “customized” with 49″ spinning wheels and an interior done in a south-of-the-border motif.
