Though I think Jeter has been overrated at times, at least by Yankee fans, he has been very productive for a very long time. Some have been complaining because he hasn’t hit as many HRs as others. But, that has not been his job. He has usually been a top of the order table setter. Even Yankee haters should respect what he has done, and is still doing after it looked like he was done a couple years ago.

How much intelligence was required to make a bunch of assumptions with no evidence to back them up? Only two of the four you mentioned are guaranteed to be there in ’16 with that being the last year of Tex’s contract, and Arod having only one more after that.

Btw, keep making comments about how the Yanks do nothing but buy over the hill free agents, they’ll keep winning games making trades and bringing up players from the farm system that’s somehow always overlooked.

I can wait to see the Yankee line up four years from now, anchored around Jeter, ARod, Tex, and out of shap Cano and whatever overthe hill free agent busts they sign between now and then.

Jeter also passed Babe Ruth tonight with 16 seasons of double digit home runs for the Yankees. Babe Ruth only had 15 for the yanks.

Random stats like “most HRs by someone who has played more games at SS than anywhere else” are funny to me.

Did you know Jeter is third on the list of players to hit doubles in night games broadcast on Fox when the temperature at game time exceeding 28 degrees celcius?

You may not know it, but Yankee fans do….and they regularly suggest that it’s a reason that he should win the MVP every year.

Jeter will end up with over 3500 hits probably good for 4th or 5th all time. He won’t reach 300 homers. Three or four years from now when we look back at his stats we will have to say this guy was one of the most effective players of all time.
Dare I say the list of greatest all time shortstops is small one but Jeter is right there.
He just exudes a great work ethic and clutch play. Yankee fans are proud to have this guy Captain our team.
