Emilio Bonifacio in Marlins’ lineup Sunday after missing 15 days with sprained thumb

Emilio Bonifacio is back in the Marlins’ lineup on Sunday afternoon against the Rockies, having completed a 15-day stint on the disabled list. Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post provides the photo evidence:

    There’s a bit more to it this time. Bonifacio will only play center field for the duration of the season on the assumption that second base, or any other infield position, increases the likelihood that he’ll hurt his thumb again, The Feesh want him healthy for next season – or maybe, more realistically, for the weenter meetings.
