Anyone have an opening for a web developer? Melky’s guy has been banned

Why does Major League Baseball hate small businessmen? It’s these kinds of people — especially in the technology sector — which create the jobs!

Major League Baseball has banned the Melky Cabrera “associate” who took responsibility for the former Yankee’s bogus website from all 30 clubhouses, the Daily News has learned.

So can he work from home?

“In addition, Nunez is not certified as a player agent by the Major League Baseball Players Association, and clubs should not have any contract negotiations with Nunez or deal with him regarding players on the 40-man rosters,” the memo added.

If I were Nunez I’d create a website that says Bud Selig has lifted the ban. It seems like a foolproof move to me.

why do people keep saying “former Yankee” Melky Cabrera? just to get hits on searches (do they all work for Bleacher Report)? the Yankees were 3 teams ago – Giants now, Royals last year, Braves before that THEN the Yankees.

You know the article is in the New York Daily News, right?

      • Rich Stowe - Aug 21, 2012 at 2:22 PM

didn’t know that…but my point is still valid – I heard it several times on ESPN the past couple of days

Rich, exactly that pisses me off as well. And like you said in your reply below your point is still valid. The problem is the media as well as this site knows referencing “Yankees” in any context especially a negative one attracts more readers. That’s just my opinion.

Good one! But he should just do porn websites- that’s where the money’s at anyway.

You wont be seeing much new porn after the syphilis outbreak this week

So now who is going to build Johnny Damon’s HOF candidacy website?

    • Rich Stowe - Aug 21, 2012 at 2:26 PM

      Jon Heyman?

“I don’t understand these new fangled numbers….the kid had moxie, I tell ya!”

    • temporarilyexiled - Aug 21, 2012 at 3:18 PM

Wasn’t that the name of the product that caused this misunderstanding?

      • tfbuckfutter - Aug 21, 2012 at 3:25 PM

David Eckstein was once suspended for elevated levels of moxie.

You should see his pee sample. It is almost nothing but grit.

He should try and cut back on the protein a bit. Kidney stones are no joke.

      • cur68 - Aug 21, 2012 at 5:28 PM

An Eckstinian Kidney Stone would weigh 1000 Kilos. 1000 kgs of awesome! It would not be composed of cystine, uric acid, calcium, oxalate or phosphate either. It would be 100% Unobtanium. Just to be near it would bathe one in the glow of so much moxie that ones belief in their own prowess would leave one answering to the name “Chuck Norris” for a month.

And yeah, cut back on the protein & drink lots of water: a 1000kg kidney stone would hurt a little.

The same guy that got Jim Rice in by drumming up the sympathy vote for him.

To answer your question Craig, I am recruiting for a Web Developer in the MD area. Anyone interested, message me.

This is terrible news for web developers. Why should contract employees be held responsible for their temporary employers? When the Blues Brothers played Bob’s Country Bunker, they assumed no responsibility for the political leanings of the owner, a gig’s a gig, as it should be with web developers.
