Curt Schilling calls the governor of Rhode Island “a dunce of epic proportions”

Aug 21, 2012, 3:00 PM EDT

Curt Schilling continues to blame other people for the fact that his company failed:

Former major league baseball pitcher Curt Schilling, whose video gaming company recently collapsed, called the governor a “dunce of epic proportions” … Schilling tweeted that “if the state loses money it’s because the Governor is a dunce of epic proportions, nothing I can do about that.”┬áIn follow-up tweets on Monday, Schilling also called the governor a “buffoon” and called the prospect of him getting re-elected in 2014 “terrifying.”

Not a nice thing to say to a guy who gave you $75 million in loan guarantees only to see you default on your obligations, fail to pay your employees — and having them work, unwittingly, for free in the meantime — and then leave them all in the lurch as you file for bankruptcy.

Yes, a politician was a problem. Not your overwhelming hubris, greed, ego and inexperience forming a toxic mix that ensured that you would fail before you even got that loan in the first place.

Loved Curt Schilling when he was with the Red Sox. Hey, pitching well for your favorite team covers up a lot of blowhard-nonsense. Here, he sounds like a blame-shifting bag of vomit. I’m obsessed with slapping him in his chubby cheeks. Sorry, Curt.

    • j0esixpack - Aug 21, 2012 at 11:58 PM

Schilling is upset because the Governor refused to cooperate with Schilling’s effort to defraud new investors by keeping their pending Bankruptcy a secret.

Then the Governor refused to let more taxpayer money go down the drain and was honest with the taxpayers about the state of Schilling’s company. This infuriated Schilling further.

Overall I’d say the Governor is looking a lot better than Schilling.

If Schilling had even a dunce’s intelligence about how to run a business he might still be in business.

  2. kevinbnyc - Aug 21, 2012 at 5:12 PM

Please say this means he’ll never be on TV again

  3. sincitybonobo - Aug 21, 2012 at 5:21 PM

Schilling’s lack of awareness is astounding. Every single comment posted is critical of him. Would he classify this as a coincidence? I was surprised ESPN brought him back. Something tells me he’s being strongly advised to restrict his public comments to baseball. The facts and public opinion are not on his side.

    • sabatimus - Aug 21, 2012 at 6:14 PM

I myself can’t figure out if it’s a lack of awareness or a lack of conscience.

  4. sincitybonobo - Aug 21, 2012 at 5:26 PM

If Schilling wants to earn some extra $, I am sure Chaffee’s campaign will happily pay him to campaign for his next GOP opponent.

    • sabatimus - Aug 21, 2012 at 6:15 PM

      Hahahahaa nice one.

  5. 18thstreet - Aug 21, 2012 at 5:36 PM

A successful business? He didn’t build that.

  6. jayquintana - Aug 21, 2012 at 5:52 PM

Way to take responsibility there, Curt! What a stand up guy you are! Of course, it’s not the owner of the company’s fault when his company fails — it’s everybody else’s!

  7. siftin thru nonsense - Aug 21, 2012 at 6:08 PM

I’ll always remember Schilling from the 93 Phillies. He was awesome. Now he is just a bozo. Loved the Phillies team.

  8. CJ - Aug 21, 2012 at 6:21 PM

the only conceivably accurrate explanation for this is that Schilling apparently thinks he’s the governor of Rhode Island.

  9. professormaddog31 - Aug 21, 2012 at 7:19 PM

Two days in a row of Schilling nonsense and probably 99.9% of the comments are super-ultra-negative. I think I can safely say that if there was a douchecanoe hall of fame Schill would get in first ballot.

    • j0esixpack - Aug 22, 2012 at 12:04 AM

1 person – and only one – is defending Schilling, noting that we shouldn’t make assumptions about him and he’s never committed a crime (which I don’t think anyone has accused him of in the first place.)

That person is – wait for it – bozosforall

Amazing on so many levels. I’m in awe of his psychosis. (Shilling AND bozosforall)

  10. blackdonnelly - Aug 21, 2012 at 8:19 PM

Which makes our boy Curt the Mayor of Simpleton.

Why can’t he face the fact that HE screwed up, and just let it go?

  11. schmedley69 - Aug 21, 2012 at 8:44 PM

The guy is just an ass. Always has been. None of his teammates ever liked him. The Phillies are doing everything they can to avoid putting him on their Wall of Fame, even though they have to come up with a new inductee every year. This year was Mike Lieberthal. Rico Brogna will probably get the nod before Schilling.

“Every 5th day he’s our horse, and the other 4 days he’s our horse’s ass.” Former Phillies GM Ed Wade

  12. tyniewow - Aug 21, 2012 at 9:18 PM

What a sack of crap this guy is, he burns through $75 million worth of tax payer money with lavish spending (on everything it seem but actually paying his employees) then cries because the governor, rightly, refused to throw good money after bad. I hope he goes to jail for the fraud he committed, then he can cry on his cellmate’s shoulder.

  13. bozosforall - Aug 21, 2012 at 9:41 PM

    Typical Boston associated douchebag.

    • jimmymarlinsfan - Aug 21, 2012 at 10:08 PM

Nothing to do with Boston or Massachusetts and everything to do with being a crook

      • bozosforall - Aug 21, 2012 at 10:20 PM

Look at the picture attached to the article, crybaby. And no court has ever convicted him of a crime…much like Roger Clemens has never been proven to have ever used PEDs. Not that it ever stops idiot Boston losers from making stupid conclusions about that..while blindly denying that David Ortiz tested positive for PEDs in 2003. Yep, Boston is just chockful of douchebags.

    • jimmymarlinsfan - Aug 21, 2012 at 10:25 PM

Crybaby? I’m not even a sox fan you ass clown. Nor do I speak with an accent or defend David Ortiz so take your nonsense and drivel elsewhere

      • bozosforall - Aug 21, 2012 at 10:47 PM

Did I say that you were a Sox fan, idiot? I can see how you would confuse me calling you a crybaby with that though, given that it is universally known that Boston fans are the biggest crybabies of all. Try reading comprehension next time, loser Marlins fan.

    • j0esixpack - Aug 22, 2012 at 12:02 AM

Hah! Look below – the one defending Curt “he hasn’t been convicted of a crime” Schilling…. is none other than “BOZOSFORALL” making a rare appearance since his humiliation predicting the NBA playoffs.

That just confirms everything all of us think about Curt Schilling – and bozosforall!

      • drewzducks - Aug 22, 2012 at 2:26 AM

Yeah he’s pretty much a worthless load of carbon . And I don’t mean Schill.

      • bozosforall - Aug 22, 2012 at 9:57 PM

Both smarter than joesuxd!ck could ever hope to be. Keep slurping that man protein though, joe…maybe it will fertilize that pea brain of yours.

      • j0esixpack - Aug 22, 2012 at 10:44 PM

So the therapy isn’t going so well I take it?

You’re going to have to deal with those Oedipal issues one of these days bozo.

Congratulations for being the lone person on the planet who doesn’t think Schilling is full of Schit on this.

      • bozosforall - Aug 23, 2012 at 9:53 PM

Congratulations on being the biggest loser in he mess of losers that comprise the New England sports fan base. I’ll leave the Oedipal issues to you (except in your case, it’s your dad that you want to have sex with).

      • j0esixpack - Aug 23, 2012 at 11:31 PM

        Get some help bozo.

Don’t go all James Holmes on us.

      • bozosforall - Aug 27, 2012 at 12:46 AM

The only Holmes I ever went on anybody was JOHN Holmes…on your mom. She couldn’t walk right for a week.

      • j0esixpack - Aug 27, 2012 at 2:01 PM

You’re only humiliating yourself you know.

Seriously – are you a grown man? Because your trash talk sounds like it would be mocked in a junior high school.

      • bozosforall - Aug 28, 2012 at 9:38 PM

Keep trying…and failing…to establish yourself as anything other than a crybaby loser Boston Puh C. The “what age are you” insult is a classic elementary school standby, so your lame attempt to attack my comment is nothing short of ironic.

      • j0esixpack - Aug 29, 2012 at 3:22 PM

Keep telling yourself that your constant references to homosexuality and school yard jabs of “crybaby” are a sure sign of a sane, mature individual.

Repeat it as a mantra, lest this little world you’ve created for yourself come crashing down on you.

Hopefully no one gets injured when it does.

      • bozosforall - Aug 30, 2012 at 12:02 AM

The little world where you delusional New Engand sports fans think that your above it all existed long before I came along and will continue to be delusional long after I am gone. Poor little crybabies…the Yankees will always be the better franchise.

      • j0esixpack - Aug 30, 2012 at 11:14 AM

Your attempts at disparaging remarks like gay-bashing and trash-talk like “crybaby” make it tough for New Englanders not to feel a sense of superiority.

You do an outstanding job representing the intelligence and mentality of Boston-haters everywhere.

        Keep up the good work!

      • bozosforall - Aug 31, 2012 at 10:48 AM

Boston fans will always be the biggest losers in sport. Referring to others as “haters” when New Englanders have spent the last century perfecting the art of hating is the biggest hypocrisy of all.

        Keep up the delusion, losers.

      • j0esixpack - Aug 31, 2012 at 2:45 PM

Given your childish taunts and completely transparent self-hatred towards what is clearly your own homosexual fantasies, pretty much everyone in Boston takes your attempt at insults as the highest compliment.

      • bozosforall - Sep 2, 2012 at 5:27 PM

As usual, you Boston crybabies attempt to and fail to twist things to make yourselves look better than the competition. The hallmark of losers.

      • j0esixpack - Sep 4, 2012 at 3:22 PM

Son – stop embarrassing yourself and get professional help.

If you’re actually a grown man, you’re the only grown man in the United States who’s standard insult is the schoolyard taunt “crybaby”

That alone indicates some deep trauma from childhood that is the cause of your cyber-stalking and irrational anger that, if left un-treated, could turn into some more violent irrational response.

I’m assuming that whoever abused you and caused this bizarre hatred for all things Boston was from New England, and for that I am very sorry.

      • bozosforall - Sep 4, 2012 at 10:02 PM

Son…the crybaby label fits Boaton fans to a why would I use any other label for you whiners. As for your amateur psychological analysis, it is worth less thn what I paid for it. Shove It up your ass where it belongs.

      • j0esixpack - Sep 5, 2012 at 1:50 PM

        Riiiiigght. Amateur analysis.

Shall we delve into what your obsession with homo-erotic insults indicates about your own sexuality, manifested in these bizarre hate filled rants?

      • bozosforall - Sep 6, 2012 at 8:53 PM

No hate here…hating is the purview of you Boston crybabies. Been that way since New York became the more important city of the two.

      • j0esixpack - Sep 6, 2012 at 11:53 PM

Wow… That’s some good smack talk there buddy.

I mean, I’ve seen some good, smart, witty, put you in your place smack talk in my days, but nothing that can compare to that.

I have absolutely no comeback to that.

You, are truly an amazing example of logic and sports knowledge.

I am in awe of you.

You win. You have no need to make another post in this thread… Unless you have some equally bizarre obsession with always getting the last word in too.

      • bozosforall - Sep 9, 2012 at 10:29 PM

Doesn’t change the fact that you are still the biggest loser here, joesuxd!ck. Keep on trying (and failing) though.

      • j0esixpack - Sep 10, 2012 at 12:17 PM

        Seriously – get some help.

You’re self-hatred at yourself of your own homosexuality couldn’t be clearer for all to see.

No one who is secure in their own sexuality has any reason to disparage gays. Gays in denial however are most prone to use anti-gay insults to “prove” to themselves that they are not gay.

Someday soon you won’t be able to delude yourself anymore and that could be a very dangerous time for you.

      • bozosforall - Sep 11, 2012 at 9:45 PM

Keep telling yourself that, home o boy. The only ones that need help here are you crybaby Boston losers. Follow your own advice.

Curt’s explanation to te Gov in movie terms:

  15. anxovies - Aug 22, 2012 at 3:17 AM

I guess it’s time for Curt to enter politics and run for congress. He has all of the qualities for a politician, arrogant, self-serving and willing to waste somebody else’s money.
