I agree Pro, Anyone who is criticizing Girardi for anything he’s done this year is someone who doesnt really know the game all that well. Girardi is Mgr of the year. Its really hard for him to win because, well, its the Yanks and all, but if you have followed the team day in and day out, he’s doing it with smoke and mirrors, the bullpen is being managed perfectly, he’s able to juggle aging superstars while keeping them all happy without being full time players, etc.

Those were fans were walking through a special area that is only for “Scout Seat” ticket holders… the tippity-top of the Sox park seating hierarchy, that includes a separate restaurant/bar area with “free” buffet and “free” drinks delivered by waiters right to your big cushioned seat directly behind home plate. You also get to walk through that “back-of-house” area of the stadium and watch the players walk to the locker-rooms.

They hold these pressers in places where it looks as though the public can (almost) freely wander inside.When JG went back to find the offender, you could see a doorway that led back out into a public area (far better lit).That shouldn’t be happening. Media should be able to get to those places without any involvement with the public.

Girardi has always been awesome. As a Cards fan, I have no love for either the Cubs (the last team he played for) or the Yankees. But he was the one that came out on the field at Wrigley the day after Darryl Kile died and explained to the fans why there was no game that day. Class act. Plus, love that he continued the interview without missing a beat.

You should go to the Yankee’s MLB web site and see how disrespectfully some Yankee fans talk about the manager of the team they root for.

They all seem to think that they know better then a man with major league experience.

Joe seems to be a decent guy. He was a catcher so he’s used to being a bad ass. Good for him for telling some yahoo to shut his pie hole.
