I did watch the game. Point is that Wise wasn’t tagging and would have had to run all of the way back to second because he was already halfway to third. That takes a lot of time.

The question isn’t whether he could score from second, it’s whether he actually did or not. I can’t tell from the video, but if it really was a catch, and he didn’t tag up, then he didn’t score.

He sure can score on a sac fly, you can take as many bases as you want on a sacrifice as long as you tag up. So if the player catches it, gets creamed by another player and they both lay on the ground like a couple of professional wrestlers as the ball rolls away, Wise can score from 2nd.

Thames caught it, and then dropped it on the collision. 2 outs, as if it matters.

I’m a sox fan, but have rooted for the Mariners since Griffey (fav player growing up). And you are a complete homer of a fan. Personally I think it was a catch, but the point is moot because Saunders and/or Thames werent getting up anytime soon. The only chance they had was if Trayvon Robinson came over from left field. Did you watch the game? Or even the replay?

That’s actually not funny. Wise was on second so even if Thames caught it and still collided with Saunders, he still would have been able to get the ball in so that Wise couldn’t get home. Get your facts straight before you start hating on Mariners fans.

Really? I went to CoPa tonight and seen a 7-2 score and on the ride home when this game was tied I had hope, but thanks for putting salt on the wound.
