Yeah, I’d say 39 pitches / 5 runs the day before qualifies. And yet, he still behaved like a 2 year old. Is it possible he’s one (more) of those guys who needs help making the connection between actions and consequences?

As a Yankee I don’t remember a thing negative that was ever written about Aceves. One season with Valentine and he becomes unhinged?? There is more to it than they took the closer role way from him.

Considering recent history and the way the treated Francona on his way out the door, .. the RS FO inability to keep the beer and chicken thing internal, .. or at least kill the story off last fall thus allowing it to drag oN, ..the way things went SSoooo well with Youkilis this Spring, .. Valentine’s gracious comments recently to his pitching coaches “vacation, .. Crawford and Gonzalez you have to start wondering how much of a premium will the RS have to pay top FA players to sign with them. It’s not so much hat there are differences between players and management, I swould imagine that goes on all the time. It’s that it seems to be strategically leaked to the media.
