Catch the Reds-Cardinals series tonight on “Caught Looking” at 9PM on the NBC Sports Network

Tonight’s Caught Looking, airing at 9 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, goes behind the scenes at last weekend’s Red-Cardinals series. Spoiler alert! The Cards took two of three.

But that’s OK, because that’s not the point of the show.  Here’s a preview. Note: Brandon Phillips should probably be miked up in every game, always.

Count me as a Cardinal fan who really likes Brandon Phillips. He just seems like a guy who gets it, to me.

I’m not sure if anyone likes their job as much as BP seems to enjoy his.

I saw something the other day that had BP voted the third or fourth “most fake” personality in MLB, but I think he’s the real deal. Dude just loves it out there.

I feel sorry for people outside of Cincinnati that don’t get to watch BP play on an every day basis. He’s always got a smile on his face, and some of the plays he makes are unbelievable. One play that comes to mind was from earlier this year before Joey Votto got hurt. Votto had just made a nice play at first, and on the next at bat, BP made a ridiculous grab/throw to retire the side. You could very visibly see Brandon mouth the words “That’s how you do it Joey!” It’s fun to see guys like that who are having fun, especially with how “stuffy” baseball can be at times (no celebration, no showing emotion/frustration).
