For an actual injury, every banned substance known to be medically useful (no illegal drugs) can be used after clearance from the MLB drug system. That’s the difference between the wacko WADA group and MLB. They actually get out of the way when doctors performing actual medical treatment get involved, to avoid lawsuits charging interference with the doctor-patient relationship. WADA, like all other “international” sports agencies, recognizes no legal authority anywhere.

Michael Morse had one of those. Didn’t seem to help much, but it is apparently “legal” by MLB rules, just like Ryan Zimmerman’s cortisone shot. It doesn’t fall in the category of “cheating.”
